The Pretty Ballerinas FW22 collection for the colder months of the year is inspired by the London of the 70s. The influences of the Mods, Teddy Girls, Swinging Sixties, Disco, Glam, and Punk urban tribes follow one another and overlap in this proposal full of contrasts that invite you to write your own story where the crude and the unexpected coexist without any surprises.
Made entirely by hand on the island of Menorca, it is divided into three trends -Studs and buckles, Rerooted Nature, and Blown Away- that guarantee the composition of a perfect wardrobe for the winter season.
Studs & Buckles
Nappa leather, patent leather, and Scottish wool combine metallic details, hand-inlaid studs, and half-pearls. The new ELISE model, with its one-and-a-half centimeter heel, enters the season in a café-au-lait tone and advances at a leisurely pace in chocolate suede combined with houndstooth and decorated with a large buckle at the neckline. A detail that CLEMENTINE also adopts in a daring proposal that combines different check patterns in wool with smooth suede. GRETCHEN, with a generous round neckline and two-centimeter heel, and CAMILLE, flat and with a square toe, are presented in a renewed 60s style with lacquered detail. SHE, always chameleonic, takes risks with an ankle bracelet and even with a pair on the instep, mixing studs with suede and even restrained tartan with orange trim—a—happy sample of college reminiscences from the 70s and a nod to London punk.
Rerooted nature
This proposal is presented as a song to the earth, to raw nature, making the colors of the roots its color palette and mixing them, without filters, in original combinations.
The classic ROSARIO last and the agile SHIRLEY with its oval toes are wrapped in hazelnut suede, red fruit marmalade, and night blue moss. TYRA and ELLA, with their characteristic pencil tip, are dressed in silk with botanical prints that play with chiaroscuro in maroon. CLEMENTINE and ELLA also do not give up covering themselves in leopard and tartan, taking inspiration from the England of the 70s, and they are decorated with velvet bows and rhinestones with golden threads incorporated into the weft. ELLA is also covered in velvet, scarlet, and moss, with a highlight on the 3D flower neckline made according to the techniques of the world of millinery.
Blown Away
Born to dazzle. The ELLA last is covered in printed silk with an oil, quail, or smooth print with Swarovski crystal details -monochrome and multicolored-, and matching ostrich feathers decorating the instep.
The FAYE moccasin, with its back-to-school vocation, futuristic air in pistachio, and Bruno, surprises in velvet with mocha. An unexpected proposal for day and night that he also finds accommodation in the ELLA silhouette that stands out for its bow tied with ultrasound technology.
